SEMESTA: Journal of Community Empowerment is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Foundation of Advanced Education (FOUNDAE), Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to disseminating high-quality community engagement and empowerment practices that promote sustainable social development through innovative, evidence-based, and collaborative initiatives. SEMESTA publishes three issues annually, in April, July, and November.
SEMESTA published its inaugural issue in April 2026 (Volume 1, Number 1), marking the beginning of its commitment to providing an international platform for the dissemination of impactful community service and empowerment initiatives across diverse disciplines.
Since its establishment, SEMESTA has been committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics, rigorous peer review, and open-access scholarly communication. The journal continuously strives to enhance its academic quality, international visibility, and contribution to community engagement by encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and promoting community empowerment practices that support the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
