Journal History

Journal of Social Development Research is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Yayasan Mujtahidin Sajimah Selong (MUSA Foundation), Indonesia. The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for disseminating high-quality scholarly research that advances the understanding and practice of social development through scientific inquiry, technological innovation, educational advancement, and community engagement. It welcomes empirical, theoretical, methodological, and policy-oriented contributions that address societal challenges, strengthen community capacity, and promote inclusive and sustainable development across diverse contexts.

The journal publishes three issues annually, in May, August, and December. It published its inaugural issue in August 2026 (Volume 1, Number 1), marking the beginning of its commitment to fostering interdisciplinary scholarship and advancing research on social development at local, national, and international levels.

Since its establishment, the journal has been committed to upholding publication ethics, maintaining a rigorous peer-review process, and promoting open-access scholarly communication. It encourages research that connects scientific and technological developments with human needs, institutional practices, environmental sustainability, and community well-being.
