Withdrawal of Manuscript

Authors are expected to submit manuscripts with the intention of completing the editorial and publication process. Requests for manuscript withdrawal are therefore accepted only under exceptional circumstances and must be supported by valid and compelling reasons. Unnecessary withdrawal of manuscripts is strongly discouraged, as it consumes significant editorial and peer-review resources, including the time and expertise of editors, reviewers, and journal staff.

If authors wish to withdraw a manuscript that is under review or editorial consideration, the corresponding author must submit a formal Article Withdrawal Request Form, signed by all co-authors or accompanied by written consent from all authors. The request must clearly explain the reasons for the withdrawal.

A manuscript will be considered withdrawn only after the Editorial Office has reviewed the request and issued written confirmation. Until such confirmation is received, the manuscript remains under consideration by the journal, and authors must not submit the same manuscript to another journal.

Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication or has entered the production stage, withdrawal requests will be granted only in exceptional cases. The Editorial Board reserves the right to evaluate each request on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and internationally accepted publication ethics.

Submitting the same manuscript to another journal while it is still under consideration by SEMESTA, or withdrawing a manuscript after acceptance solely because it has been accepted elsewhere, constitutes unethical publishing behavior. Such actions may result in rejection of the manuscript, notification to the authors' affiliated institutions when appropriate, and restrictions on future submissions to the journal.
